Tonight we decided to shake things up a bit around here in an “Erin go Bragh” sort of way! For dinner, we had rainbow pancakes with a pineapple pot of gold. They were so easy to make and the girls loved them because they were different and fun. After making a batch of regular pancake mix, I separated it into smaller cups and added a few drops of food coloring to each. I began by pouring a small dollop of mix in the center of the pan, and then added a ring of another color around the edge until all the colors had been added. Simple and cute!
Next, we decided to give ourselves another special St. Patty’s Day treat. Lucky Charms bracelets! All we needed for this was dental floss, a sewing needle, and Lucky Charms cereal. I taped one end of the dental floss to the table so that the cereal wouldn’t slip off the end. Then we threaded the cereal onto the floss until we reached the desired size. It was difficult to get the marshmallows on there because they kept breaking, but my daughter didn’t mind because she just ate all the broken ones! Once we reached the right size, I tied the ends in a knot and cut the extra floss. The girls had a great time making the bracelets AND eating them!!
Until next time…XOXO!!
